NCAA Week 10 Top 25

Whoa!  Upsets were common, although not too many among the Top 25.  Lazy Louisville stunned Syracuse, basically giving Pittsburgh a strong lead in the Big East.  Independent Navy knocked off East Carolina, putting the Pirates' bowl hopes in jeopardy while boosting their own.

The Top 25 teams suffered some upsets.  North Carolina beat Florida State, knocking them out of the Top 25, leaving Virginia Tech as the only ACC team (and ironically, only current or former Big East team) in the Top 25.  Oklahoma was toppled by Texas A&M.  The Sooners remain in the Top 25, but drop dramatically.  The Aggies reach the cusp, setting themselves up for a potential Top 25 run.

The last upset wasn't an upset in the winning team, but in the extremely large margin of victory.  The contest between TCU and Utah was a contest of Number 3 v Number 4, so it was anyone's game to win.  However, I could not have predicted a complete blowout!  TCU proved themselves the strongest team in the Mountain West, just as Boise State proved themselves superior in the WAC by demolishing Hawaii.  Now both teams lie on the edge of the top.  If Oregon falters, and Auburn loses to Alabama or loses the SEC Championship, then the BCS Bowl Championship could be played between two teams from non-BCS conferences.
