This week made up for last week's relative low number of upsets and surprises. It began Thursday night, as UCLA clobbered the Sun Devils, dropping them from the Top 25 rankings. Penn State lost their chance to enter the Top 25 when Northwestern completely dominated them. FCS Yale upset the Army in overtime, and Minnesota gave Michigan their third September loss in school history.
The upsets didn't stop there; even the late night games had their share. Duke was trounced by Miami, and Washington State came back to beat Utah, knocking the Utes out of the Top 25. Earlier in Pac-12 drama, Colorado forced Cal to two overtimes, and pulled off the surprise.
